Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) Degree Details

Admission Qualification:
Admission is open to those who have successfully
- 10+2 / equivalent / 3 year Polytechnic diploma.
- 10+2+6 Months computer course
completed

Program Duration:
Theprogram duration for BCA will be three years
comprising of six semesters but the candidate will
have to complete the program within six years from the
session of enrollment.
Lateral Entry Scheme to 2nd Year(IIIrd) Semester :
The candidate who has successfully completed a 3 year Diploma is eligible
to take admission in 2nd Year (3rd sem) of BCA.
- Internal assessment (IA) through assignments with a weightage
of 25% - Term-end examination having a weightage of 75%
- Each paper will be of 100 marks
- Minimum for pass is each course is
40% [In Internal Assessment + Term End Examination]
Scheme of Examination for BCA:
Exit scheme of BCA:
- After successful completion of first semester of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Certificate in Computer Applications.
- After successful completion of first two semesters of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Diploma in Computer Applications.
- After successful completion of all six semesters of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Bachelor in Computer Applications.
